StackMail has a zero-tolerance policy towards spam. We do not allow our Services to be used for sending unsolicited bulk email or any form of spam. Users who violate this policy will have their accounts suspended or terminated immediately.

2. What Constitutes Spam

Under this policy, spam includes but is not limited to:

  • Unsolicited commercial email sent in bulk
  • Emails sent to purchased, rented, or scraped email lists

  • Emails with deceptive subject lines

3. Compliance with Anti-Spam Laws

All users must comply with applicable anti-spam laws and regulations, including:

  • CAN-SPAM Act (USA): Requires commercial emails to include accurate header information, a clear subject line, identification as an advertisement, a valid physical address, and an opt-out mechanism.
  • GDPR (EU): Requires consent for marketing communications and allows individuals to opt out at any time.
  • CASL (Canada): Requires express or implied consent before sending commercial electronic messages.
  • PECR (UK): Requires consent for unsolicited marketing communications.
  • Australia Spam Act: Prohibits unsolicited commercial electronic messages.

4. Email List Requirements

To use our Services, your email lists must meet the following requirements:

  • Recipients must have a legitimate business relationship with you OR have opted in to receive communications
  • Lists must not be purchased, rented, or harvested from the internet
  • Lists must be regularly cleaned to remove bounces and unsubscribes
  • You must maintain proof of consent or business relationship for all recipients
  • Lists must not contain role-based addresses (e.g., info@, sales@) without explicit consent

5. Technical Requirements

All emails sent through our Services must:

  • Include accurate "From" and "Reply-To" headers
  • Use a clear, non-deceptive subject line
  • Include a visible and functional unsubscribe link
  • Include a valid physical mailing address
  • Not contain malware, viruses, or malicious links
  • Comply with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication standards

6. Unsubscribe Requirements

You must honor unsubscribe requests and ensure that:

  • Every email includes a clear unsubscribe mechanism
  • Unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days
  • Unsubscribed addresses are never emailed again
  • Unsubscribe lists are maintained and regularly updated

7. Monitoring and Prevention

We actively monitor our platform to prevent and detect spam:

  • Automated systems detect suspicious sending patterns
  • We monitor bounce rates and spam complaint rates
  • We review accounts with high complaint rates
  • We maintain relationships with major ISPs and blocklist operators
  • We implement rate limiting and sending caps

8. Consequences of Spamming

Accounts found to be sending spam will face:

  • First Offense: Warning and temporary suspension of sending capabilities
  • Second Offense: Extended suspension and required remediation plan
  • Third Offense: Permanent account termination with no refund
  • Severe Cases: Immediate termination and reporting to relevant authorities

If you receive spam from a StackMail user or believe someone is abusing our Services, please report it to:
